So what did you think? Pretty powerful heh? Every year I watch that and every time it makes me humble and remember to be thankful for what I have. The ending is the most impacting as they show clips from the present day of current hate groups and injustices. How can we break the cycle? How can we generation after generation not get it…not see how wrong it is to hate another unwarranted? I hope you liked it and remember it as you get older. Keep this topic in mind for a research paper for HS! So, just like Herbert Strauss asked, “Do you think it could happen again?” What do you think?

SURVEY MONKEY
March 14, 2008 | Uncategorized | 1 Comment
If for your final project you wanted to collect some STATS on peoples’ opinions, or what people think of the various things you studied…you can use www.surveymonkey.com. This is a tool where you can get lots of people to answer questions you can later use for a graph or chart.
For example, you could ask people if they knew about any of the things we studied, and poll your family and friends… Then use this information in a Kenote slide, or an IMovie slide…

A More Perfect Union
http://americanhistory.si.edu/perfectunion/experience/index.html
This Smithsonian Institution National Museum of American History web exhibit “explores this period when racial prejudice and fear upset the delicate balance between the rights of the citizen and the power of the state. It tells the story of Japanese Americans who suffered a great injustice at the hands of the government, and who have struggled ever since to insure the rights of all citizens guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.” (MGTV.org)

Darfur

When I think of Darfur it makes me shiver. I can’t believe how many people were killed. It’s terrible that they are raping the women and girls.
